Meet the Team
FOUNDER
Correy Rossi is an accomplished international wheelchair basketball athlete, coach, and the driving force behind the Central Florida Rockets.
Correy is a successful wheelchair basketball player who has competed at high levels of the sport, representing teams including Team USA and playing in international and national wheelchair basketball competitions.
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
As Program Director, Paulette is responsible for guiding the overall direction of the program, including athlete development pathways, seasonal planning, policies, and long-term growth initiatives. She works closely with coaches, board members, and community partners to ensure the program operates with excellence, safety, and integrity.
PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Courtney Rossi serves as the Program Coordinator with a background in human resources, organizational leadership, and youth advocacy to the program.
With professional experience in HR, Courtney plays a key role in strengthening the Rockets organizational foundation. She supports areas such as program operations, compliance, and internal processes helping ensure the team grows in a sustainable, ethical, and athlete-centered way.
COACH
Coach Josh focuses on teaching strong fundamentals: chair skills, ball handling, shooting mechanics, and game awarenesS. While meeting athletes where they are in their individual development. His approach prioritizes growth, encouragement, and creating a positive experience for every player.
COACH
Matt is the Prep Division Coach for the Florida Rockets, working with athletes ages 5–13 to build a strong foundation in adaptive wheelchair basketball. He recently graduated Doctor of Occupational Therapy. His goal is to help players develop strong fundamentals in wheelchair basketball while building confidence that will support them both on and off the court throughout their lives.
STATS & ASSISTANT COACH
Gary is deeply rooted in his faith and brings a strong sense of compassion, integrity, and encouragement to the program. His dedication to supporting youth in wheelchair basketball and uplifting the adaptive sports community makes him an invaluable part of the Florida Rockets family.
TREASURER
Elizabeth Hernandez serves as the Treasurer for the Florida Rockets, where she plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s financial operations and long-term sustainability. She is passionate about being part of something extraordinary and is deeply committed to helping create opportunities for youth with physical disabilities through adaptive sports.
